The Ballad of Ambush

Ambush was born out of a love of music by musicians who loved the same kinds of music - southern rock, classic 70s rock, blues, and R&B - and we used that love as a launching point for what has become Ambush.

Founded in 2023 in Myrtle Beach, SC, Ambush continues to evolve and grow.

Whether its that southern rock glory of Allman Bros., Lynyrd Skynyrd, and Molly Hatchet, to the 80s anthems of Journey, Styx, and Queen, all mixed in with great blues, country and party rock songs, the extraordinary breadth of influences across the musical gambit shows in all that Ambush does live.

Currently, Ambush is a 4-piece band, consisting of:

Scott Brandenburg - Guitars/Backing Vocals

Karyn Bradshaw - Bass/Lead and Backing Vocals

Ron Brinn - Drums

Kevin Keith - Lead and Backing Vocals

Scott hails from Dayton, Ohio. He started piano lessons at the age of 4. Started playing guitar at 8. He formed his first band in the 7th grade, named "Battle Axe" and never looked back.

Karyn is a bassist/vocalist/multi-instrumentalist from Michigan's Upper Peninsula. Classically-trained on vocals and drums, she taught herself guitar and then settled on bass in 1995. She has been bringing her incredible vocals and bass skills to Ambush since 2023.

Ron brings over 50 years worth of experience on the drums, playing top 40, jazz, Latin, and Rock and Roll. He brings his special talents to the rock band Ambush, in which he is a founding member.

Kevin also comes from Dayton, OH, and has been singing off and on since he was 16. His heroes are Freddie Mercury, Steve Perry, Geoff Tate (Queensryche) and Chris Cornell (Soundgarden) to name but a few. He is also a former wine expert and writer, a published poet, dog dad, and afficianado of the 1975 Cincinnati Reds.
